Act II: The Initiation
We need to initiate the creative process of turning your story into these magic visual assets. How do we do that? Through a simple process...
Let's go through the process of how we can work together. We set up communication. There is a basic web form with questions for you to answer that we can go over through your preferred methods. After we set up communication channels we can discuss the scope of work and I can draft a proposal of work with a quote for services. If this is accepted then we will proceed with onboarding and deposits. Once the deposit has been made we can continue with the following processes:
Curiosity
We'll delve into the project with a strategic plan. Whether you already have one or not, we will need to conjure a descriptive and strategic plan with a powerful dose of curiosity. We'll uncover our client's story, their goals, product, and their target audience. This stage has a lot of team communication before we can start developing the creative assets. We need to learn and clarify about our client and their audience:
What are their goals and objectives?
What problems do they have?
What triggers them to take action and reach out for help?
Where do they get their info?
In short, how does our client's product save their victim from the villain? We will discuss the ways we can show this and once we have an approved idea, then we will move on to the next step.
Creativity
Once the strategic plan has been etched and signed off on; then the drawing and sketching begins. I will draft some characters and assets based off our discussions and strategic plan that will be presented to you for approval. This is where we get out the kinks, make changes, and begin to see our idea metamorphize into a visualization.
With these sketches, I can begin to draft the storyboard for our tale. This stage lets us evaluate our messaging and delivery to see if it all works together and what pieces we can utilize as modular assets. Once this stage is approved, then we move onto illustrating for style, and creating an animatic (a rougher form of the animation for timing).
If approved and there are no more changes (the amount of revisions will be covered in the proposal and scope of work), then I will proceed to illustrate and animate the story to its completion.
Exploration
Final animation is done, assets have been formatted and exported, final deposit is made, then files will be delivered. Our journey doesn't end there, however, now we get to explore our platforms and share the magic. We can actively observe our progress against our defined measurable metrics to see what is working best.
If all goes well, by no means does it need to end. We now have a framework to show our tale and with these assets we should have plenty more opportunities to explore. This framework acts as a visual identity for our client's product. Now that's a grand valuable resource to utilize. We will now be recognizable, relatable, and can create connections to build a community.
The next campaign awaits!
